This was one of many TNRP contracts undertaken by CMC and largely involved pavement overlay, in-situ cement stabilisation and resealing of the Gregory Highway which serves the major coal mining centres of Central Queensland.
As a result of major flooding across Queensland during December 2010 and January 2011, Transport and Main Roads implemented the Transport Network Reconstruction Program (TNRP) to repair over 800 kilometres of damaged state controlled transport infrastructure.
Jointly funded by the Commonwealth and State Governments, CMC’s Package 3, Gregory Highway 27B works included repair work to the highway in the Central Highlands region between Emerald and Clermont.
