CMC progresses to Phase 2 – Port Drive Upgrade
After a successful Phase 1 submission, CMC has progressed to the final tender stage (Phase 2) for the Port Drive Upgrade. With an estimated value of $101 million, the project includes the delivery of two bridges, earthworks, pavements, and ground improvements. Construction is estimated to start in June 2016 with a project duration of 24 months.
The client’s Expression of Invitation in September 2015 drew interest and submissions from eight contractors. Showcasing the strength of CMC’s team and credentials, CMC was shortlisted to one of four invited to provide a budget tender – and has now been subsequently shortlisted to one of two who will work through the full and final tender phase.
CMC Estimator Matthew Webster is thrilled with the success of Phase 1 and is looking forward to submitting a competitive final submission.
Focused on providing the client with the smartest possible design and construction outcome, Matthew, along with a dedicated CMC team, will be relocating to South Brisbane for six weeks to complete Phase 2 with our design consultant, SMEC.
