Giving back to the community has always been an important focus for CMC. The company has, for many years, played an active role in supporting and enriching the social and cultural fabric of the regions in which it operates.
CMC looks for appropriate project opportunities to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in gaining meaningful employment. As project opportunities arise, we will often partner with an experienced local employment service in order to develop and implement targeted programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, particularly those with strong local community relationships and strong professional standing. These programs have been aimed at providing real opportunities and support to local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to offer coaching in how to be job ready and capable of contributing as productive employees in a civil construction work environment.
