CMC proudly supporting Yeppoon Surf Life Savers Club Nippers Program

This summer, the CMC Rockhampton-Yeppoon Road Upgrade project was very pleased to hand over two brand new soft nipper boards to the Yeppoon SLSC – Nippers.

Nippers is the junior branch of the Surf Lifesaving movement. It educates U6 to U14s about many aspects of surf lifesaving and prepares them for entry into the Senior Club.

Bjorn Prince, YSLSC Junior Activities Coordinator was extremely grateful for the donation. ‘Our Nippers program is growing every season, and we currently have 71 registered participants, so the two new soft boards are a very welcome and much needed addition to the club. We are very appreciative of CMC’s support, and the kids can’t wait to get the boards in the water,’ said Bjorn.

This sponsorship was provided by the CMC ‘Thirst for Legacy’ initiative, where the proceeds generated from recycled cans and bottles collected on site are matched by head office to provide support to local charities and organisations located nearby CMC projects.
