Recently, we held a safety awards BBQ event to recognise workers who have excelled in maintaining a safe worksite at Naughtons Gap Road. Special congratulations to Thomas Birmingham and Matt Sproul, for their dedication to safety and for setting a high standard for the entire team.
The Naughtons Gap Road project has been a critical endeavour for CMC. Following the landslide in March 2021 and further damage from the 2022 flood events, the road was closed for public safety. D&C contract in September 2023, and following design development, commenced work on site in February 2024. The project involves significant remediation work to stabilise the area and restore the road, ensuring it can withstand future adverse weather conditions and natural disasters.
These works are fully funded through NSW Disaster Assistance Arrangements managed by Transport for NSW.
