Here’s what’s been happening recently across our four landslip restoration projects for the Tweed Shire Council:
A major milestone was achieved with the completion of the last of the gabion baskets on all four sites. There were 3,445 gabion baskets, totalling just over 480,000 individual rocks!
Mt Warning Road: Big progress this week as the team completed the Gabion Wall, poured the blinder for the concrete cut of wall and prepared the area for the next phase of work.
Kyogle Road Site A: Despite heavy rain, the team pushed ahead, importing, placing, compacting, and trimming the final pavement layer, getting it ready for asphalt and sealing.
Kyogle Road Site B & C: The team wrapped up the Armour Rock installation and prepped the area for timber pin installation and SMZ import.
A special thank you to Telika Baxter and Alice Knight for their outstanding work supporting our HSEQ inspections this week. At CMC, we’re committed to safety and quality on every site. By rotating team members for inspections, we ensure fresh perspectives that help us identify areas for improvement and highlight team successes. It’s this collaborative approach that keeps our projects running safely and efficiently.
