Pavement Rehabilitation (Stabilisation) of Shire Road Assets (Package 9)

CMC was recently awarded this Central Highlands Regional Council contract to undertake works for restoration, betterment and rehabilitation (stabilisation) works of their road assets following rainfall and associated flooding from Tropical Cyclone Debbie in 2017,

Contract Value (Combined): $4.7M
Client: Central Highlands Regional Council
Project Commencement: November 2018
Project Completion: May 2019

Restoration works will be conducted across various sites around Emerald, extending north-west to Clermont, south to Springsure, and east to Duaringa.

The scope includes:

  • In-situ stabilisation cement
  • Reshape table drains
  • Replace depth marker post
  • Gravel resheeting and formation grading
  • Road reconstruction and resurfacing – bitumen Spray Seal.2 coat seal
  • Reconstruct concrete floodway
  • Replacement of road furniture
  • Clearing of dense/mixed debris material and remove from site
  • Gravel supply / top up
