CMC is proud to have taken delivery of a Limited-Edition Cat Centennial 336 3D Excavator in centennial grey, a nod to the original colour of Caterpillar’s earliest equipment.
This machine is one of only two in Queensland released to celebrate 100 years of Caterpillar, and we’re thrilled to have it join our fleet. Our partnership with Hastings Deering has been long-standing and strong, and this milestone is a testament to that relationship.
Peter Kendall, Executive Chairman of CMC Group, shared:
“Having spent a significant portion of my career working with Caterpillar, I have an extensive understanding of the Caterpillar product and dealership network and have subsequently built CMC Plant Hire predominantly around Caterpillar equipment. This excavator is an iconic and unique addition to our fleet. We’re proud that Hastings Deering have selected CMC as a recipient of one of these limited-edition machines.”
Grant Christensen, CEO of CMC Group, added:
“The Hastings Deering and Caterpillar brands have been synonymous with CMC’s growth throughout the years. This exclusive excavator goes hand in hand with our colours, much like the relationship we’ve developed over the years.”
Sebastian Banks, Executive General Manager at Hastings Deering, said:
“Cat has been in business for over 100 years and CMC has been a valued partner for a large portion of that time. It’s not just about selling machinery – it’s about being part of the community. It’s customers like Peter and CMC that are why we are really here.”
This excavator is already hard at work on a major CMC project on the Bruce Highway.
With Cat marking 100 years, Hastings Deering 90, and CMC recently celebrating 20, this milestone represents more than machinery – it’s a shared legacy of building Queensland’s future.
