This International Women’s Day, we didn’t just mark the occasion – we launched it! Teams across all our sites put their engineering and aerodynamics skills to the test in a CMC-wide Paper Plane Competition.
Some planes soared effortlessly, some took unexpected detours, but every single one showcased the creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm that made this IWD one to remember.
🏆 A big congratulations to Patrick Connors, representing our Paradise Dam Road Upgrade Team, for taking home the top spot with an impressive 24.7m flight!
Each project site put its own spin on the celebrations – while IWD cupcakes were a common theme, teams brought their own flair with decorations, creative setups, and a variety of ways to come together. From BBQs and burgers at head office to a beautifully arranged morning tea by a women-owned catering business in Nambour, and even a fun-filled evening at the local bowls club for our Paradise Dam team, every site made the day uniquely their own.
