We’re proud to share that CMC has been awarded the Barton Road Intersection Upgrade project by the Queensland Government’s Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), located along the Bruce Highway between Gin Gin and Benaraby.
This project is part of an early start package supporting the Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program, which is delivering critical upgrades from Gympie to Cairns.
The early start package prioritises high-impact safety measures such as wide centre line treatment with road widening and audio tactile line marking, pavement strengthening, intersection upgrades, and additional rest areas.
These works will improve safety on this section of the national highway network. We’re looking forward to working closely with the Queensland Government to deliver another high-impact infrastructure project that benefits communities and road users across the state.
