CMC is proud to mark the completion of a Blue Knob Road Landslip Restoration, delivered for Lismore City Council and jointly funded by the Commonwealth and NSW Government under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
This critical project restored access to four sites impacted by the devastating 2022 floods. Despite 36 days of rain, our team remained agile, collaborative, and solution-focused throughout the 220-day program.
CMC worked closely with our design partners BG&E to deliver a Design & Construct pavement solution that delivered a stronger pavement, upgraded the surface to Asphalt Concrete and met the original budget and program.
Across the four sites, our team completed:
- 500+ soil nails (up to 12m deep)
- 558m³ of No Fines Concrete to reshape and stabilise batters
- Shotcrete application for long-term slope protection
- High-strength AC pavement surface
- Guardrails and road furniture for safety and resilience
A huge thank you to our dedicated crews, consultants, and project partners. Your commitment and adaptability helped reconnect a vital link in the region’s road network.
