Peter is a founding Director of CMC who has led the company on a path of unparalleled excellence and growth since its inception in 2002. Peter’s extensive background in project delivery, large-scale international mining and MARC contract fleet management throughout Australia and Asia, has spear-headed CMC’s growth from humble beginnings in Maryborough, Queensland to a highly regarded and successful multi-state civil contractor delivering large complex civil infrastructure projects for government and private clients.
In mid-2024, Peter transitioned from Managing Director to Executive Chairman, shifting his focus to broader strategic initiatives, governance and board leadership, leveraging his knowledge and industry experience to guide CMC’s sustained growth, innovation and ever-increasing capability and maturity. Peter’s adaptability, vision and enduring commitment to the company continues to steer CMC through its ongoing prosperity.
Peter is an active advocate for the civil construction industry, having held a Board Member position at both State and National levels for the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) for over ten years as well as being a past President of CCF Queensland (2018-2021) and past Vice President of CCF National (2016-2021). Peter is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
