NDRRA, Bundaberg Region North South Package
Following the award of the Bundaberg Regional Council NDRRA Stabilisation Package, CMC was awarded the combined NDRRA North South Package. By undertaking these packages concurrently for Council, CMC was able to minimise inconvenience for the local community and key stakeholders, whilst also providing the client with greater efficiencies in terms of resources and coordination.
The North South works contract primarily involved a wide range of activities including insitu stabilisation of the road surface using cement or cementitious blends, gravel re-sheeting, major and minor patching, concrete floodways and causeways, culvert remediation and maintenance, pavement spray seals, asphalt overlays and embankment repairs. Work was spread over approximately 2,000 sites across the region.
Works were severely impacted by additional severe flooding on Australia Day January 2013.
