CMC was engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads to undertake bitumen resurfacing works on two sections of the D’Aguilar Highway at Harlin and a section of Wivehnoe-Somerset Road at Dundas.

The projects involved the repair of the road surface with 150-200 mm deep lift asphalt pavement followed by resealing and line marking and installation of road furniture.

The D’Aguilar Highway works involved resurfacing approximately 3.4 kilometres of the road between Black Gully and the Brisbane Valley Highway, Harlin. Resurfacing works also took place on approximately 5 kilometres of the D’Aguilar Highway between Emu Creek bridge to just east of the Moore township. On Wivenhoe-Somerset Road, CMC carried out approximately 3.4 kilometres of resurfacing, from Framptons Road to Kipper Creek Road, Dundas.

Additional scope was awarded to CMC to resurface the intersection of the D’Aguilar Highway and Brisbane Valley Highway which involved 100mm deep lift asphalt pavement followed by a 50mm asphalt overlay.
