As part of the Department of Transport’s Bruce Highway Action Plan to deliver safer roadsides, CMC was awarded the Safer Roadsides, Oak Street to Fleming Road contract, which included the provision of safety barriers and flattening of roadside batters and cuttings to a 1.6 kilometre stretch of the Bruce Highway north of Gympie.
The project comprised of varying treatments including guardrail installation, batter flattening, culvert extensions, earthworks, pavements, rate 3 road lighting and shoulder widenings.
