Overview

CMC was contracted by TfNSW to work on the Mingara Drive and the Tumbi Road Intersection upgrade, which saw 48,000 vehicles per day. The heavily congested Wyong Road intersection linked Wyong, Tuggerah, The Entrance, and surrounding coastal suburbs to the M1 Pacific Motorway.

Work involved replacing the existing roundabouts with traffic lights and widening Wyong Road on both sides to improve traffic flow and safety, while also catering for future traffic growth within the area.

Highlights

Collaboration: This scope of works involved relocating property boundary fences back into private property that had been resumed by TfNSW, involving a significant amount of property adjustments and direct stakeholder management by the project team.

Safety: The project improved safety and reduced travel time for motorists travelling from the M1 to the entrance and vice versa. Property adjustments also provided safer access for both residents and businesses.
